3rd annual Taste Of Houghton Lake Event

The Houghton Lake Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the third annual “Taste of Houghton Lake” contest, which will take place on January 4, 2025, at 5:30 PM during the Tip Up Town 2025 Kick-off Party.

This culinary competition invites local businesses and restaurants to showcase their signature dishes to the attending public. Participants will serve small samples of their creations, vying for the coveted title of “Taste of Houghton Lake.”

How it Works:

• Participation: Businesses and restaurants are encouraged to register for the contest. Space is limited to the first 10 entries.
• Preparation: Participants are responsible for bringing their own heat source, food, dishes, napkins or soufflé cups, table covering, and any promotional materials.
• Voting: Attendees will have the opportunity to sample the dishes and vote for their favorite.

Prizes:

• 1st Place: 
  • Plaque commemorating the achievement
  • $500 in free advertising courtesy of WUPS 98.5
  • Free paid membership in the Houghton Lake Chamber until July 2026
• 2nd Place: 
  • Plaque commemorating the achievement
  • Free membership in the Houghton Lake Chamber until July 2026

How to Attend:

Entry to the "Taste of Houghton Lake" is free with a 2025 Tip Up Town badge. Badges are available at various local merchants and at the door.
